How It’s Made: Tarter Tanks, Planters, and Fire Ring

Tarter products are manufactured in state-of-the-art facilities in Kentucky and Utah. These facilities represent over 1 million square feet of manufacturing space.

Tarter manufactures the most popular galvanized steel stock tanks in America. These superior tanks can be used as livestock waterers, planters or coolers. The options are endless. We are proud to show you some of the process that goes into making these products.

The process begins with heavy duty flat rolled steel with zinc coating.

The steel is then cut into precise length, to create a Tarter tank, planter, or fire ring.

These pieces are then guided into shape using a computer driven mill.

A precision cut bottom is attached to the product.

Note: Tarter Fire Rings and Planters do not have a bottom.

Tarter’s Galvanized Stock Tanks can be used as livestock waterers, rain barrel, planter, cooler, baby chick brooder, storage. There are endless options!
